Single Ply TPO and EPDM Re-Roof and Retrofit Solutions Cost LESS

You can greatly reduce the cost of complete roof replacement by Re-roofing with a single ply membrane at a fraction of the price. As seen below a typical Tar and Gravel roof system can be retrofitted at less than 50% of the cost of a complete tear off and replacement.

Roof retrofits or re-roofing with TPO or EPDM, are the fastest-growing segments of the commercial roofing industry, and CanAM works with world leading manufacturers and suppliers of these roofing materials.

CanAM TPO and EPDM membranes are available in sizes up to 12-feet wide and 200-feet long, reducing labour costs and making installations of this roof system so cost efficient. Adding to the efficiency are CanAM's use of prefabricated accessories that drastically reduce the amount of time needed to flash rooftop penetrations.

TPO membranes are typically installed white for their ability to reflect sun and reduce heat build-up. The membrane is also available in Grey and Tan

In many cases TPO is a great solution for older Tar and Gravel Built up roof systems as an alternative to roof replacement which can cost over $12 a square foot	The finished roof system is a water tight and reflective roof.

Seams are overlapped and then heat welded to make a permanent seal.	Typically fiberboard is mechanically fastened to the existing roof deck but any thickness of insulation can be added to increase the roofs R-Value

Leister hand welders are used for flashing detail	Completed TPO roof system is inspected at completion.

The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) rubber roofing membrane has been an appealing choice of the low-slope and flat commercial roofing industry for over 40 years, with more than 20 billion-plus square feet installed in North America.
